The mixer drive comprise a multi-stage heavy duty planetary gearbox with under pan mounted main drive motor with thermistor overload protection. Options include electronic smooth start control allowing emergency start-up under load. Further options include frequency control for infinitely variable rotor speeds for special mixes.

Various types and qualities of abrasion resistant materials can be supplied to protect mixer floors and walls including: chill cast tiles, ceramic tiles, rolled steel plate in various grades of abrasion resistance plus hard weld coated plate.
Lateral doors in mixing pan facilitate the cleaning and maintenance.
And adjustment components are located inside the dust tight rotor housing. Two part mixing arms and outer scraper arm are spring loaded to prevent damage and to reduce abrasion to mixer and mixing blades. Mixer and scraper arms are adjustable both vertically and horizontally. Mixing blades and wall scrapers are available in different qualities and types to assure perfect mixing results.
The incorporate whirlers are designed to rotate optionally clockwise or anticlockwise and are available to suit different materials driven by slip-on gear mechanism with overload coupling.
Due to this special construction no extra motors for the whirlers are required.

Mixer discharge is controlled hydraulically. A hydraulic pump driven from a PTO on the main drive gearbox delivers oil at high pressure via an oil filter and solenoid valve with pressure relief valve to a rotary hydraulic cylinder integral with the discharge casting.
Emergency discharge hand pumps are supplied as standard on models PM 1125 – PM 6000, optional on models PM 250 – PM 750.
PM mixer dust covers are rubber sealed and include inspection lids. Inlets for aggregates, cement and water can be arranged to suit plant design. Safety limit switches avoid operation or start-up of the mixer when dust cover opened.
